I've changed my shift **** on my stick shift. It's pretty simple. I couldn't tell u where which screws are on your auto though.
As far as the parking brake, I haven't seen any brake handles for the Neon. If there are, let me know. I was just checking a Sparco brake handle out today to go with my Sparco shift ****. It's funny that this post happened when I was looking into it. The Sparco brake handle wont work with the one on the Neon though.[&o]

Could a moderator answer this or point in the right direction if they know how to replace the shift **** on an automatic? Thanks.

well i've seen the screw on the side of the **** for the automatic so i don't think that would be complicated, i'm more concerned with changing the parking brake if it's possible

To replace the automatic shift **** all you have to do is loosen the allen key screw in front of the shift ****...it should slide right off. I've heard that any Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep console shifter **** will bolt right up to ours (so if you wanted a leather one). Universal aftermarket ones will also work, and should come with adaptors if they dont fir right...some of the aftermarket ones dont stay tight though...

As for the parking brake, its one molded piece of plastic, and I havent seen any real replacements...tey make covers, but no entire replacement because of the size/shape/difficulty of doing so...

yea there is an allen key to take off the shifter, but i would suggest keeping it because all of the aftermarket ones just dont look right, dont fit right, or just break. the parking brake is one piece that i cant see a way of taking it off

what brand is the parking brake cover that you got? most of the ones i've seen don't look like they'd fit because of the shape of the parking brake with the hills, etc
