Default Check 5th post for some car troubles i need help resolving ASAP

What unit should I put into my 2000 Neon ES trim 2.0l SOHC?

I was reading up about aftermarket PCM units, and it says that mopar makes one, but the only one that i can find is made for the SRT-4's and at the top of the page, it says that it fits all the other types of neons and avengers, except my year.

does anyone have a link for a PCM unit that will work for my car? preferably from mopar, or any other well known brand.

thanks.

i know srt-4 wont work because its programed for a 2.4L instead of your 2.0. It would change your air fuel ratio because it things its a 2.4. Im somewhat sure....

I have the AFX Race Pcm.
There is also an AFX Street PCM.

They are fairly expensive but they offer the best gains. Check it out.

As far as the regular Neons go, they only made the Mopar PCMs for the 1st gen Neons.

Default RE: Quick question about an aftermarket PCM unit

Thanks guys, i found out about the PCM unit by searching the forums, sorry that I even posted this thread......

i got another question...

my car seems to be running pretty damn crappy lately...

heres an example, at a stop light, my car will idle @ about 550-600 rpm...
and everytime i come off the line, my car seems to sputter a little bit if i dont tap the gas a little bit to get my RPM's up to 2K + before releasing the clutch then giving it steady throttle till i get going, then everything is fine.

also, sometimes when im accellerating from like 30mph to about 50-60, if i push the accellerator too far in, my car will sputter a little bit, where it seems like my car cannot cope with all the extra air coming into my car, and it takes a few seconds to adjust the fuel injectors to get enough fuel into my car.

I think that my new catalytic converter, exhaust and CAI might have something to do with this, but im not sure, my next fillup will be on premium gas, and ill probably put some fuel injector cleaner in it too, because i wasnt sure about the service history from the previous owner (my neighbor)

basically, before i bought my car from them, the car has been sitting, because they origionally bought the car for their daughter, and she didnt want to learn how to drive a manual, so they let the car sit for 1-2 years.

when we got the car, we did new spark plugs, and filled the AC up with more freon, because the A/C wasnt working.

also, lately, ive noticed when my car is running and pushing air out of the vents, when i have it set for cold, it still pushes out hot air.

sorry if this probably deserves a new thread, but i might as well post it here.

Was the car sputtering before the CAI? I really don't think it's b/c the extra air in the engine.

no, it didnt sputter when i put in the CAI, but i think it could be crappy fuel, or my fuel injectors that need to be cleaned.

my high-flow catalytic converter origionally made my CEL go off, then i got one of those o2 sensor simulators, which limits the ammount of flow that goes by the o2 sensor.

but definately on my next re-fill im gonna fill it up full with premium, so that it can get some of the older crappy gas out of the engine.

that and i might add some fuel injector cleaner, because it might be that...

well, what im thinking is that it was just a bad batch of gas that got into the station.

because when these problems started, it was the day i filled up from 1/4th of a tank according to my gauge which is like 1/8th of a tank.

so, im gonna run my tank dry pretty much, and fill up with premium next time i go to fill up and hopefully it will remidy my problems, but is there any other suggestions?
