i filled my gas tank one day and it say full...then i went home and shut off my engine and few mins later i have to go to the store, so i start up my engine and the meter stay empty and won't go up ... and when the gas is half way some time it blinks the low gas light...i also brought it to a mechanic and he said it teh feel sender that is located in the tank so i ask him to change it and the problem is still not fix so he didn't charge me and i just left...... mean while i think it's the cluster but im not sure what do you guys think?

 

Don't know. Mine will go full to empty if I fill up all the way with cheap gas(Diamond Shamrock). After a while it'll go back to normal.

 

That happen to me before and the problem is that the cluster is broken just get a new one on ebay.

my gas gauge works fine.

 

my gauge doesnt work on my jeep, so i just go by the mileage. anyway, i wouldnt pay to fix the gauge, but i would put a can of fuel system cleaner in the tank and see if it helps. the float/sensor might be stuck.

 

Well mine does, too. I've heard that a lot of them like to break.

 

use the tripometer or go to a junk yard and try a different cluster??

 

like i said i've always filled up at shell since and no problems since.
