Are they good for anything or are they crap?

haha fast answer, what are they anyway i assume something that stabalizes voltage, but for what and how??

There are Voltage stabilizers out there that are fantastic if you are into say competitive stereo competitions. But other than that the PCM does fine.

Its a capacitor that will help keep a more constant current flow to the amp when its drawing alot of current. I never had one and I would think you would only need it if you start noticing your lights dim when your bass hits. It will help eliminate that than.

Some are computer controlled and cost way more than 40 bucks. If you are running a mean Sub then a Cap is perfect.
