Would need to purchase the whole cat-back or just the rear section. I was going to put a glasspack on it to bring down the sound. I know you guys dont like the SRT-4 exhuast but my buddy did it on his sxt and it sounds good to me.

 

i was wondering about putting a srt-4 exhaust on. do you need the glasspack or no? and how hard is it to install?

 

u dont need the glasspack but it keeps the sound from getting too loud.

 

the rear section will bolt right up., but the midpipe on the srt has a resonator that might help the sound a bit so you dont have to get a glasspack and install it. i have just the rear section on my sxt and i like the sound. it does get a bit raspy in the high end, but i'm too lazy to goout and buy the srt midpipe.

 

my friend has a SRT exhaust on his neon and he didnt glasspack it and he got a fat ticket

 

oh thats cool whats the diameter of the neon stock piping so i can look for a glasspack

 

its 2.25in from the cat all the way back until the last bend that connects to the muffler or srt rear section (last foot) which is 2 inches but you will need a 2.25 pipe

 

Ive had a srt exhaust on for 3yrs now and at 1st I just ran with just the catback than I got a fix it ticket for it being to loud in a small town where my inlaws live than I put the resnators on still loud got 2 more fix it tickets than I installed a glass pack muffler to tame her down and no more harrashment from the cops again anywhere. Glass pack is like 80 bucks installed for me . I love the loudness of just the catback so if you can get away with just having the catback I say run it that way but if you cant get a glasspack .

 

i dont know the laws here in florida but ive heard some loudrice fart cans infront of cops and they didnt pull anybody over

 

A srt exhaust is way louder than a rice can of a muffler .
