help guys!!
Just got a dvd player for the car and apparently the tech guy on the phone said I need to hook it up to the negative e-brake wire???? where is ours??? i have a 2nd gen 2004 sxt....he said next to the pedal or handle....so...I could use some help trying to figure out how to get to it thanks....
The center console is the thing your shifter is on, cup holders, etc...depending on what model DVD player you bought you may just need to ground that wire and your done...
the technician said to hook it up to the negative e-brake wire...which made me assume there was more than one wire running to the e-brake but yeah your probly right just ground it....anyway i removed the center console...just 10 screws...8 up at the center console "glovebox thing" and one in each cupholder...slides right off...now i have to vacuum lol.....i only see one wire running to the e-brake so i guess im safe to assume thats the one i need...thx guys.
why would any DVD or car stereo need to be hooked to the e-brake...anything?
is that just the closest and most secure negative or ground?

they do that so that you cannot watch the dvd player while driving, easiest thing is to just ground the wire, and then it will work all the time.
