Anyone installed an srt intercooler on a non-srt? With them being like 60 bucks shipped, I think it would make to be a nice project for a little under $200 bucks.

You would have to make some modifications, right? I'm seriously considering doing it, any help would be appreciated.

 

you may have to modify the front bumper a little bit for 03 and up. as i understand it fits behind the 00-02 w/o modification, aside from adjusting the height to match the opening in the bumper. nicks02es may be of some help on fittment. are you going turbo or just putting on an intercooler?

Just putting an intercooler for now. Nowhere near got the money for turbo. I have an 03 srt bumper going on my sxt. Will it fit it without mods?

then i wouldnt do it if u dont have the guns to back it up. u get laughed at and riduculed reaaaal bad to the point i dont even recomend it. it is pointless anyways to just have it sit there in fact ud lose performance

 

whats the point of havin the intercooler mounted without a turbo? ur better off buyin parts and buildin a whole turbo one part at a time ..i bet ud appreciate it more....

 

i hate to use the term, but 'domestic rice' is all that comes to mind. mind you it IS YOUR car, and not a sole here can tell you what to do with it. however, i think its dumb. why pay that much money for absolutley NO added performance. and generally you will be made fun of, not to mention give real SRT4s and turbo 2.0s a bad reputation for being rediculously slow to those who dont know that yours isfake.

but to answer your question... if you put on an SRT bumper and the stock SRT FMIC, it will fit just fine. the only heads up i can give you is your hood fittment. that is the sxt hood is about 1" longer than a SRT hood, so you may have to get the hood. and for the cost of the bumper, FMIC, and hood youll have spent the same as you could have on some nice performance mods

 

I really dont like srt fronts on sxts Id rather get a bodykit than a srt bodykit . only looks good on a srt 4 the wing and exhaust is a different story any 2nd gen can run both of those and look good. Its your ride you run with what you want .

 

And to everyone always into performance Im into show and a little go but more show. So are alot on here not everyone has to mod there ride performance wise most show rides dont have any performance.

 

thats true...i just lookin to get the right combo of looks but i just want to open up my neon and gettin it runnin and breathin better....i nice body kit and tires and such go along way...bottom line is that you have to be happy with it cuz u sit in it and drive it everyday
