But it gets 15mpg and it doesnt smoke.
The only thing is you have to give it a little gas sometime in the mornings because it sounds like its going to die its like 650 rpm. But i can give it gas and leave it and it will idel for days with out problems. (not literatly but still) It only does that sometimes. So i dont belive it has a blown plenum. What you think?

mine gets 15 mpg on a real good day and my plenum is blown and my cat is going bad
don't rely on good (sorta) fuel mileage
if it's never been replaced with a Huges or APS kit, its bad

Yea with a 5.2L I got a 5.9L Well today i will get a mirror if i can to look around. Where is a major give away with the plenum?

the mileage difference betwen the 318 and 360 is not much different if at all, my cousin had a second gen 2500 with the 360 and got the same as i did
just look for oil pooling in the plenum, not to hard

3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 are all Magnum motors, ALL magnum motors have the plenum gasket issue.
put a piece of rubber between aluminum, and a stamped steel plate, then subject those to heat upwards of 300* then tell me how long that rubber gasket lasts.
if it hasnt been done and you own a magnum motor, you need to fix it. REGARDLESS of mileage.
