What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?

ooh those are nice? 35 inch SSRS? I like. That's the way I'll be going when I get some lift on this bitch.

put in the trans cooler 2 days ago, trans temp gauge today...absolutely will not get any warmer than 180 degrees no matter how hard i flog the biatch...usually sits at the 165 mark.
tomorrow will probably be unhooking the trans cooler to take temp readings without it, then reinstall the lines and see how much difference it makes. (praying it's actually worth it)
on the to-do list....find new permanent locations for coolant overflow and washer fluid tank (may try to find an overflow/washer fluid combo tank from an explorer to save space)

Washed out the bed. Had about an inch of standing dust and rock debirs from the 8 tons of rock I have hauled over the last couple months. Getting a few odds and ends ready for the trail-ride this weekend.

Removed my running boards for the trail run this weekend. I can't beleive how much better the truck looks without them. I put them on back when I was going to put a 2" lift on, and my wife wanted to be able to get in better. Now I have a 3" lift, and taking them off makes the truck look like it is lifted even more then that. I think I might just leave them off till she complains again.

I also finished off a small detail on my calipers (recall that I recently painted them red to go with my other suspension parts). Added the "Mopar" lettering (in silver of course).

I hate running boards (I know why sometimes you have to have them though....thankfully my wife is tall....lol). Your truck does look way better without them thats for sure.
Anyway, I installed my CB today. I had a cheapy Midland 40 channel but no antenna so I went to SBS Electronics today and bought a 2' Firestick and a mount and cable. I put the CB in the pocket below the radio (fold down cup holder area for auto tranny guys). I mounted the antenna in the bed with a angle bracket and then ran the cable down the stake pocket out the bottom of the bed and then drilled one hole in the back of the cab. Then I ran the cable under the carpet to the dash.
Everything came out pretty nice and it looks pretty good in an area I really don't use on the dash anyway. I don't know how much I will use a CB other than trail running, but it's small and out of the way, so I'll leave it in there. I'll get a pic up soon.
