lmao.... throttle stickin and brakes not workin..... them suicide bombers are gettin it easier everyday lol, they just gotta steer them haha
On another note, I fixed my laptop the other day. It's half of my obd2 scanner so it's pretty much part of my truck lol.... It was dead for a month or 2, I figured it was toast, but when I actually sat down and had a look at it, I found one of my sticks of RAM () was partly popped out.... Works like a charm now, wish I had a look at it earlier.....

you got one of those usb odb2 readers?
hows it workin for you? are you able to use it like a full on scanner, and able to view live feeds from sensors and such? or is it just like a code reader from advance, and can just read and clear dtcs?

(edit: v irtual doesn't make it past the forum censors?? wtf)
All the scantool itself is is an interface between the laptop and OBD2. Just a box with a handful of leds for power, Tx/Rx indications. It comes with an OBD2-serial cable and a USB cable
If you are interested in a full featured scanner for not a lot of money, and have a laptop, I would recommend getting something like this. But if you just wanna check codes, don't bother, it's a bit of a PITA compared to a handheld scanner just because of the wires and comp ya gotta hook up... Also, if you do get one, make sure it has a genuine ELM327 chip in it. You'll know what I'm talking about if you look around at them. This one was the best bang for my buck I could find...
