What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
I replaced the serpentine belt and the belt tensioner, and was surprised by how much noise went away. The old tensioner wasn't squeaking or squealing, but it was making quite a whirring sound that went away. On my test drive and with the AC on the only indication that the engine was running was the Gibson talking, and the FIPK inhaling when I pushed the pedal a bit.
When I get the coolant flush/fill and the diff oil change done, the 100,000 mile PM will be done.

Got a set of rims and tires off an old ford cleaned them up and layed some fresh color and I think they look sweet on my truck, Im taking the tires and rims that were on the truck and storing them until the ones I put on either blow or get worn out.
Any tips on storing my rims and tires that were on the truck, they are only 5 or so months old and are in good condition and I want them to be in the same condition incase of a roadtrip or after I go through the set of tires I got

well it wouldnt idle for ****, and acted like it had a dead battery, took it to auto zone and had a friend test the alt. and starter in the truck failed the alt. test pulled it, bench tested 5x PASSED. got a new belt put it back together PASSED the in vehicle test still idled poorly, starter still failed, decided to pull the bat. termials and inside they were dirty as hell though outside were clean, cleaned em up, and bam starts and runs perfectly now. (knocks on wood) also put a optima yellow top in as well. =) such a great end to a ****ty day.
It started with the amp cutting out, and a couple no starts.
I found the problem when I was cruising down the road and the check gauges light cut on and the voltage was at 18v. I yanked it off the road and cut it off, then it wouldn't start back up after checking a few different things. The last thing I checked was the battery terminals. They had a light film of corrosion on them between the posts and the terminals, I scraped them clean with a flathead screwdriver (didn't have my pocket knife) and it started right up and it was like nothing ever happened.
Mine threw a fit just like that not too long ago.

ya. its amazing what just a little corrosion does. i guess ill keep my batterys clean from now on. lol.
mines didnt start a few times as well. it was a nightmare, i was honestly hopin it would throw a code for not idleing right, and improper pcm input voltage, just because i didnt know what else to check. now im glad it didnt, because she purrs like a kitten once again.
