I put all new pads and rotors along with a new HUB assembly on my dads 2500. Also went over and re-checked all the t-case nuts and bolts on my 1500

^Looks like puke.
lol
Cracked 155000 mi yesterday!

Put $76 of Chevron 93 in it. Seems to run great with this gas. Also drove it kinda hard in the pasture; every time I drive my truck, I am amazed at the low speed power this thing has. It doesn't take anything at all to spin the rear tires in the grass. And that's stock everything, blown plenum and 3.55 gears. Did this cool burn out fish-tail thing in the dirt yesterday.
Oh yeah, you know you are driving kinda hard when you hit a hole at 20mph and your rear view mirror comes flying off its mount.

hiya, approximately how long this take you to do? its my next phase, although not intending to replace water pump as its 4 years old, but rather the gasket.

Replaced my horns. The lower one stopped working long ago. Apparently they don't like being filled with mud... I reoriented the new one on the bracket to face up.

Read this https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...um-thread.html
Plug #8 looks a little oily but not bad. It was replaced awhile back, though because I had a misfire on cylinder 8 and I started diagnosing by changing the plug. The misfire returns on occasion and goes away when it feels like it.
I removed the O2 sensor.. I love how Dodge located it so you can't use a socket on it. Had to use a crescent wrench and a hammer to break it loose. So much mud on hot exhaust has made a ceramic coating on the whole system. The cat was rattling like crazy during this.
My truck seemed to be faster with the sensor out. Off the line almost felt like the tires were going to spin. 0-60 was quicker than I remember but I don't floor my truck very often so I'm not totally sure. The open exhaust sound makes me want to run an aftermarket exhaust now I forgot how good Magnums sound.

Default Removed smog pump!!

Finally got the thing running WELL. 88 Dodge RAM D100 w/ 318. Resigned myself to having to use form-a-gasket to get the valve covers to seal...even w/ new gaskets.........!!

I had the heads but the wrong performace valve springs and retainers/ keepers, so it was time to change those parts and change the cam/lifters to one better suited to 1.7 rockers. There were a few other reasons that I had to remove the heads and change the cam, but it's over and done with.
