I went to town to clean the intake manifold faces with a an air grinder. This after removing one broke bolt, up front. Heat, penetrating oil, and vice grips lead to victory!
Then I painted my new M1 with VHT paint. Also gonna do the timing cover and accessory bracket after having them washed at a machine shop. Idea about timing cover from stewie!
My new valve covers are already wrinkle black.
camshaft coming Tuesday.

I would have done the kegger if I wasn't too lazy to take off the fuel rails, and I would have done the accessory bracket but we cheated and took the bracket/alternator/ac compressor off as one piece.
I seriously wanted to get a Hughes FI AirGap, but was just too expensive for right now....
A year ago I replaced the bed on my truck cause I got into a accident and the replacement bed didn't have the gray rocker panels so yesterday I herculined it and love the new look.
i measured my mileage and was getting 9.5 mpgs. not bad for a truck that sits 37's with stock 3.93's, a blown plenum, needs a tune up, and no o2 sensors plugged in
