Damn man, that sucks. But on the bright side so long as no one in your truck got hurt, you should have something new/newer before too long. The cab held up really well, surprising.

yeah not much damage to the cab but the tailshaft on the tranny is destoryed as well as the internals. All the rear brake lines were ripped loose, and the leaf spring shackles on the one side were ripped off the frame.

Five trips to Home Depot over the past three days. Loads of 6' fence pickets, 38 four x four posts, 38 bags of concrete and a bunch of 2x4s have been in the back of my truck spread over five trips.

Since my a$$ is laid off, I decided to finally give in and rebuild the falling apart 4 1/2' fence. The final straw was when the lab pup I got for xmas (who is now about 65 lbs.) slammed into a corner of the old fence chasing a squirrel and knocked a 2' section down!

Sorry, no pics of sh*t in the bed of my truck, but I thought the fence came out nice if I do say so myself...

Once insurance gives me the all clear i will be parting the rest of the truck out.
that suck especially since you just setup that electric fan. dealing with insurance companies can suck but as long as it was there fault and not yours you should be able to pick up a nice new ride with the check.

the wreck was considered my fault, as of now. Im going to fight it though to make it a no fault. it happend on a blind corner and hill where the city refuses to cut back the trees and brush so you can see around the corner. On top of the electric fan i put the new water pump, front brakes, wheel bearings and hub, and filled the gas tank up.....

Sounds kinda like Stewie's story a while back... But his didn't get totalled. Sorry about your truck, hopefully you like the new one even better, and your insurance rates don't skyrocket... I agree with 2500 4x4, you should get a a stick too diesel or not, 3 pedals makes lots more fun!!!

Today I tinkered with the toe adjustment on my front end until it drove smoothly down the road. Still haven't figured out exactly what I need to do with the caster yet, but I will figure it out. Easiest way I can figure is to judge by the pinion angle. With this CV joint driveshaft the pinion should be parallel with the driveshaft, right? Or does that change since it's lifted a little bit now?
