Driving my truck tonight and all the sudden idle spikes to 2 grand (ish, no tach). At first I thought TPS, but it's not fluctuating, so I think my brand new Standard Motor products IAC is stuck wide open. Ugh. It's sitting outside right now with the hood up, cooling off a bit before I put the old one back in to see.
Finished sanding the bed and tailgate inside and washed to get ready for Raptor Liner. Not going to spray for a day otr two...got in this morning at 2:00 (no, not out partying....)
i changed the air filter on mine. i also went and talked to my insurance company since there is 15 days till my policy expires and i still have not even received my renewal paperwork. apparently i should see the paper work in 2 days. if not i will be hunting for a new insurance company.
^^^ That's why I didn't go to the local crap-o-zone. I ordered what I thought to be a high quality part from a recommended brand (Standard Motor Products). So much for that, maybe I will be making a trip to Advance Auto

Hey, at least you found out what it was! I bet it was driving you crazy(er)!
Here's my "new" IAC, exactly how I pulled it out of the truck.
The old one is back in, idling regularly once again. Rock auto should be expecting a call tomorrow...
dude...it just popped out?
At least you didn't have to do alot of chasing things down ya know.
I relocated my front body mounts (2) of them to gain more ground clearance and improve mounting for new winch bumper. This allowed for reinforcing the frame rails over a longer length.
Here's best pic I have, of course, at night after all done with the stock bumper back on. This is passenger side, view from back side. It is gusseted on back side and capped.
