Ugh. Got some fresh parking lot rash in the grocery parking lot. I caught the mufker doing it, too. A guy my age or older, sporting Colorado tags so he's not some out-of-state hunter. He just let the door of his Frod Powerjoke swing until it hit my passenger door, never even touched it after he let go of the outside handle. So I bagged him on it, telling him that it might be a 5h177y old truck but it's my 5h177y old truck and I'd rather not make it worse -- he stuttered around about how he was sorry and thought he'd caught it, didn't know it had hit, blah blah blah. My hairy white @$$! The wife and I heard it hit from 20 feet away so there's no way he didn't know. I pointed out the fresh rash to him while he continued trying to BS me, and because he was BS'ing me I just walked around to the other side and got in.

Judging by his accent he's originally from that place where they think Chuckles Norris should be Supreme Commander after they secede from the union. I think it'd be absolutely grand if he went back. I'm sure there are some sheep, goats, and cousins who are missin' his tender lovin'. I hope his head gaskets blow, his injectors foul, and his turbo oil starves. Inconsiderate piece of skunk 5h17.

"Look kid, don't you get it?" sort of thing... Caught red-handed as they say... Or perhaps white faced...

that's partially why its worth the cost...instead of every 3000 miles or 7500 miles, you change Amsoil synthetic every 15000-20000 miles.

and unlike a gasoline engine, a diesel engine does not break down its oil near as fast. it turns it black as soot, but that doesn't hurt the oil any. I actually sent a sample of my oil off to a lab to be tested for lubricity and contaminants at my previous oil change (when I blew a turbo before the twins) and it actually tested clean and still exceeded wear protection and viscosity requirements. good stuff!
I might just have to try that Amsoil in this 360 gas... Using Rotella right now but would love something better!

yep, and I prefer synthetic to dino oil. My old jetta TDI definitely liked synthetic...I tried running delo 400 in it and the engine got noticeably louder. went back to mobil 1 next day and it got quiet again.

When ya got roughly $5,000 worth of performance parts on the engine alone, kinda worth protecting that stuff with the best oil out there. Aside from the $13,000 to buy my truck, I've got roughly $15k-18k in repairs and upgrades on it. Some people think its dumb (girlfriend), but I can be in a very bad mood, go drive her and hear those twins sing, and just can't help but smile and feel a bit better

you would likely have to change it more often than a diesel would, but its definitely good stuff amsoil.com and look for the weight and type you need and they sell in different quantities.

I run amsoil in my trans, xfer case, engine, and will soon be running it in my diffs.

they have distribution centers all over the US so shipping time is usually overnight.

I order it the morning before I need it, and it shows up at lunch time the next day since they have a distribution center a 5hr drive from here..

Don't be lazy. Take up the last 2 parking spots as far from the store as possible.

There's no lazy to it! Those spots are the most dangerous this time of year because that's where the out of state hunters park their RV's hauling trailers loaded up with ATV's, and you're on the passenger side of them where they're more likely to misjudge their vehicle width.

But that may only be with there Food City Value Card, still a good deal. Should be the same deal at any Food City gas station, but Galax is probably the closest to you, since they don't have stores in NC.
