What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
i think i found the roof leak in my ramcharger. there was a pretty big puddle on the passenger side. i also filled up the tank because the price of gas is going up because of hurricane sandy.
Funny how the science of a carburator is being lost/forgotten.....I could rebuild a quadrajet with my eyes closed. Before the days of CAI's, the rage was to flip over the air cleaner top so you could hear the secondaries open up. Still love that sound.
The amazing thing is how well the D200 accelerates with just the primaries.

Then I realized I could push the pedal further to the floor...and did.
My friend and I just looked at each other in amazement.
THEN I DID IT AGAIN.

tell ya what, nothing make your learn air-fuel mix like a carb on a 2-stroke. gotta run the right jet sizes and run the clip in the right position to keep the damn plug from fouling or exhaust from melting your plastics! and still give full power throughout the powerband. then drastic elevation change requires rejetting... same with riding style and temp can also play a role...carbs on trucks are more forgiving than carbs on 2-stroke dirtbikes..
nonsense. both my bikes are carbureted

Damn they're annoying.
Come on over to the marine side of things, I still work on points, condensers, magnetos, carbs all the good old stuff (small O/B and and big motors I/B). New marine techs get lost just looking at these systems. V6 300+hp 2 stroke outboard doing a dyno pull, I love that sound and smell.
