Anyone do anything to their Ram anymore? Today I snapped the speedo in my '93. It's a 100mph speedo. I figure topped out I was doing 106-110ish with tire size error.
Damn, broke the actual needle?

Sounds like fun.

Hmm. I'll see what I can do. Don't hold your breath.

'Dude was that a serious question? The needle is not broken. Snapping your speedo means either 1) pulling the band of your awkwardly tight fitting brief shaped swimsuit away from your body and letting it slap against your skin, or 2) going as fast or faster than the maximum speed possible to display on ones speedometer.

I was referring to the actual needle....which would kinda suck since it's a pain to get to.

Last Q in here

So what way would you go up or down if you to change them? Have you ever weighed just the rear half of the truck on a scale?

Well wolfie I don't spend much time at those speeds so I think I'll just stick with what I got lol.

Merc just saw your post. The only reason I might change them would be if I went to bigger tires I would go to 4.10's. But i really think the truck is set up well as is. If I were to change something drivetrain wise, first on the list is swapping in an NV5600/G56 6speed. The closer ratios from 2nd until the 1:1 would be nice, not to mention this getrag 360 is a loud mufker. Other than that it could use traction bars.

Have not had the truck on a scal at all.

i can't blame you. i think my 81 got a bit scary when i hit about 90mph. i couldn't imagine pushing it to 110mph but then again i never had the tires on it balanced.

YOU ONLY HAVE ONE TIRE!?

jk man.

My truck has hit 90, in a head wind of 15...freaking scary I tell ya.

Lemon Drop ain't gonna be doing any speed runs until the shocks are replaced, at least in the front. That sucker has got some EPIC wheel bounce when you hit stuff.
