you can't link to certain forums. they are competition. now you can usually use bitly to link to the other forum. i am guessing you are trying to link to something on dodge talk?

 

well what is the website. just re-link it and put a space in the link somewhere.

 

Competition? Hardly. If DF is that worried they might as well close doors. That aint gonna stop anyone from finding other forums and saying "Hey, DF isnt half as good. Look at all the missing info..."

Sorry guys but every other dodge forum I'm on allows linking to DF and others.

Disclaimer: If there is a rule about posting links to another forum I have no idea about it. Find something better to do than giving out about linking to other forums...

but it prevent people from advertising another big website on this website. you think dodgeforum is bad for preventing you from linking to other website you should see some of the other forums out there. they almost wont let you link to anything with dodge or ram in the link.

Years ago, when you were but a mite in diapers on the internet, before you became known as "technjockey," Dodge talk.com (*********) had spammed the forum with useless banter and advertisement threads linking back to their page. Other "competing" forums, ********.com and cumminsforum.com, for example, aren't censored.
