I'm not having a dbl post prob, just the major load times. And not always, for instance this time I hit new reply and within a millisecond I'm typing this reply but not always. Now I"ll hit submit reply and it will either take more than a minute or instantly post my reply.

zman, one thing i noticed is that this site loads the fastest with firefox. IE takes a while and so does AOL.

another thing that will slow it down is having your personal settings set to show maximum posts per page. along with the advanced editing options on your posts. i don't mind it taking a little longer for the max posts because where a lot of people see that we're on the 8th or 9th page, i'll be on the 2nd or 3rd. like right now this is the third page for me because i have it set to show 40 posts per page.

Laramie, are you planning on some major multi tasking or just more viewing area? a friend of mine has a 32" lcd tv as his monitor and those are getting pretty cheap now a days since 50" is the new 32". a 50" lcd costs as much as a 32" did 3 years ago.

This site does load slow sometimes. And occasionally I get double posting errors and 404 errors.

I tried downgrading to WMP11 and destroyed WMP12 in the process. Oh well. I have the full NERO suite, so I use Nero Showtime for movies.
I decided to go back to Media Monkey for music. It's gotten better- I haven't used it in several years.
Windows 7 does run pretty well. My laptop is an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 @ 1.83GHz, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD C, 200GB HDD D.
Firefox loaded down, Media Monkey, IM clients, etc- ~10% CPU, 65% RAM.
And AERO is just as good as ever.
I like the new wireless network listing style. A popup from the taskbar.
