I've been at it for over 2 years this August

Small engines are so expensive to repair, and newer stuff is just made to throw away, so I've been leaving small engines and getting into building custom vehicles and restorations, as well as making performance parts and rebuilding certain parts to stock, as there is far more profit to be had there. (Note for mods: This ain't advertising Just talking about what I do for work).
Thats friggen sweet dude, good for you! Seriously props, runnin a small business is damn tough! Wish I could do stuff like that...

@BBartow- Lucky you! :-P

At my local pump, 87 says contains up to 15% ethanol, as does the 89. 91 is advertised as completely ethanol free (not sure whether thats true or not though). You run your own small engine repair shop tech? Thats pretty cool man!
i would avoid that gas station if the pumps say that. personally i spend the extra money and buy premium for my trucks. when it comes to lawn mowers or small engines the only thing i will put in the tank is premium and i usually put about $20 of premium gas in my truck before i pump gas into the gerry can to make sure i am getting ethanol free gas for engines that hate ethanol. nothing like having to clean or rebuild a carb just because it sat all winter with ethanol gas in it. i know this was the first year i did not have to clean out the carb on my lawn mower because i started running premium last year. the thing even fired up on the second pull when i went to cut my grass the first time this year. i know most of the time that you see gas powered stuff like lawn mowers or weed eaters to the curb they just need some fresh gas and they will run.

Haha I have alot of people saying that, and I always tell them you can too! lol...

Actually, being able to start the business when I was 15 has given me a good start, then having worked on our small engines before that gave me the basic knowledge I needed. It just goes from there, you keep learning, there's always mistakes that just get made, and all you can do is learn from them and move on. Everybody makes mistakes - and as I say - What's the big deal? lol...

It is nice that work is just a walk away from home, saves on gas vehicle etc.
