$7000 or offer, that is absolute dirt cheap around here. It's been on their lot since February at the least, the reason I'm suspicious of is that it is 2WD. They don't sell alot of 3500s up there, much less 2WD 3500s.

Shiet, that's farm country. Why not 3500's? They pull better.

My reasoning is that if you get stuck, that's what a mild lift and mud tires are for.

2500HD and SRW 3500s are popular around here, it's all about vehicle taxes. It's cheaper to pay for a 15 ton GVWR registration tax on a 2500HD than on a 3500 DRW, and yes that is perfectly legal for farmers in Iowa. Your registration over rides any stickers on the vehicle.

Yes that is true. A 3500 DRW will get better traction with a locker/posi than a standard 4wd without posi or locker.

How is it cheaper to register 15 ton on a 2500HD compared to a 3500? If they have the same rating, why should it matter?

Or am I not understanding something...

Looks great. Put a stock Sport bumper cover and it and you'll be good to go.

Only problem is that it's Cali-spec.

^Agreed on fiery death.

It's like some weird-*** sort of 3rd gen Sport and 2nd gen SLT combo.
