1994 Ford PowerStroke Concept:
The Official 2nd Gen RAM Forum OT thread-qjnc62a.jpgThe Official 2nd Gen RAM Forum OT thread-hn9fm0a.jpgThe Official 2nd Gen RAM Forum OT thread-jjawnmj.jpg

"The Dodge Ram, Motor Trend’s 1994 Truck of the Year, was an intelligent manifestation of the belief that traditional truck buyers will step up to high styling. Ford hoped this trend would continue as it gathered show goers impressions of the Power Stroke concept truck. Like it or not, this wild, banana yellow turbo diesel dualie boy toy telegraphed design cues of the following F150. Ford equipped the truck with an important new engine that was shortly offered in the production model of the same year. It was the 7.3 literV8 that made 210 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.

The sweeping feral grin of the Power Stroke’s edge to edge grille was perhaps too strong an indication of the production trucks intent. The wrap around windshield disguised the structural A-pillar for a smooth concept look, but the big cargo box and two by two dualie wheels in the rear stamped this truck as a working breed. Its wheelbase was about 10 inches longer than the 94 F250 dualie, and the front and rear overhangs were shorter. The front end Incorporated a single line 8000 pound capacity winch and tow hooks cleverly hidden in and near the lower air dam. Projector type headlamps and driving lights provided a broad path of illumination for the night shift patrols."

Agreed. Pretty fugly...

I do however really like the Ford Atlas concept truck. If I had the cash and they were for sale I'd get one in a heartbeat

Looks like Robin, from Batman & Robin... and you know what that say about Robin (enough on that subject too).

2 things stand out on that yellow banana... the chrome ball on what looks like a plastic step bumper and that rear axle looks really far back. Almost looks like an extended cab wheelbase with a regular cab. Not much of a Ford guy but this doesn't look much worst than the current 90's look they've got going on their superduties.

Yours doesn't look like a banana ... growing up we had a 77' ram with the 400 ... those were good times.

lol I wasn't talking about yellow trucks, I was actually talking about bananas.

The 400 is rather fun, especially if you get one that doesn't have emissions like mine does.
