Bout the only "excitement" I have recorded so far is a cop cutting across 3 lanes of traffic at the last minute (he was in the passing lane) to get to the exit for 52 off I40. Darn near caused a pileup.

If the car number and/or plate were visible, I would have made a copy and filed a complaint. The OKC police are (IMHO) notorious for sloppy driving habits (red light running, unsafe lane changes, etc).

I've been wanting a dash cam. So do you have to turn it on every time you drive or can you make it key on? Any options I should look for in one?

I just use my cell phone as a dash cam,and have it mounted. Then it uploads the video off-site so if a cop tries to take it I have a copy elsewhere...

In my limited experience driving in OK and around OKC there are quite a few drivers with sloppy driving habits.

on the other hand, it seems that there are quite a few sloppy drivers anywhere you go nowadays. Even the cops around here will do dumb things all the time... Like going over the speed limit without emergency lights or sirens on...
