I was all set to go about 20 years ago, had a super schweet job offer in Australia that came with a fully furnished five bedroom house, but I was sole custodian of my kids and my ex wouldn't let me take them.
These days I figure that it doesn't much matter where I live as long as I'm happy. Nations are just real estate, politics are the games people play, and if I'm being left alone I've got no worries. If I'm not being left alone, someone else has worries too.
Duopoly? It's a myth. There is but one power structure, and the two factions we think we see are there only for our amusement and distraction. It doesn't really matter whether you pay them any mind or not -- they're going to do what they're going to do anyway. Surely you know this song, Smiling Faces:
