dunno why they bother trying with the tablet...the reason apple is dominating the mp3 player/smart phone/tablet market is 3rd party support...there are millions of devices like car stereo's, home theater systems, boom boxes, etc. that have ipod/ipad/iphone jacks and allow the apple product to be remotely controlled from the 3rd party unit.
how much support do you see for android phones with physical devices, or zunes, or any other mp3 player for that matter...3rd party support is minimal if there at all. that is the one and only reason apple continues to dominate the market.
I personally have an android phone and love it. It has features and developer support that apple will never have.
