There ya go. Some impressive 2wd
Yup, didn't make that trip either. The main roads were iced over and hadn't been plowed. I made it all the way to the main roads but they were in bad shape. Plus it was icing in Galax, which is were I was headed.
Besides, hater's gonna hate, and ya'll just haters
It was sleeting, there's a difference. Bring your truck down here for the next snow storm and we'll see how far you get in 2wd.

And I'll get around no sweat. throw some weight in the bed, and let the BFG mud terrain tires do their job

you forget I also have a 87 S10 4-banger 4-spd RWD with street tires, and I have driven in the snow without snow tires or chains and got around just fine. hell it don't even have anti-lock brakes!
S10 does have an advantage over stewies ram though...thing is small and has decent torque but not a lotta horsepower. and being a manual 4 banger gives it excellent control.
oh yeah, shes p-trac too just like the dodge.
I don't own any open diff vehicles.. even the camaro I sold was p-trac
though the camaro couldn't get out of the driveway in snow lol. that car was absolutely worthless in snow. wide low profile street tires, no weight in the back, 6-spd manual and a torquey *** V8. she wasn't goin anywhere

that sounds like a personal problem
I live in the foothills of the cascades, but it doesn't snow here..(except on very rare occasions) usually just rain, rain, and more rain for 3/4 of the year.
in all fairness though, the mountain pass is a 30 minute drive away from me. and currently said mountain pass is chains or 4x4/AWD required to go over it.
at least its not closed...
its been closed quite a few times last month due to avalanches.
