i have a few different 486's floating around. got a shelf dedicated for holding for my 386-p1 stuff.

i wish i had kept the computer i pulled this out of.

My dad's was measured in MB, not GB.

My first was 20, then 80, now 250 and 320 for my powerhouse and laptop respectively.
I remember when pcs came with 10MB drive, and going to a 20 Mb was about $300 upgrade.

if they still work you should post them on craigs list. i bet someone would be willing to give $5-10 easily for a working pre 286 computer. i know i see lots of vintage computer on kijiji for ridiculous amounts of money. i also know when i use to hang out on a vintage computer forum there use to always be somebody looking for different old computers.

I was there in my time in hamburg... great! aprox. 15 man are working permanantly on this foodball-size little world...

No you are not. First computer I ever used was a Pentium 133Mhz. I remember that bug LOL. I always used Linux kernel 2.2.x and enabled the FHP bug workaround I think it was called. They were great CPUs, esp with the MMX technology and true math co cpu. I have a Pentium III now, and it has MMX and true math co-cpu and can often times outrun a faster cpu without MMX or math co cpu LOL!
