I drink to make other people interesting.

Rumors of my alcoholism were started by people I've stumbled over.

Who said you were alcoholics? I certainly didn't. And yes I do know the difference between casual drinkers and drunkards. I was just poking a little fun, in case you did not realize that.

Broke down and bought a load of firewood today. $75 for a 8' truck bed full. Good size load.

Remembered that I had a Sprite in the toolbox of the truck, so I just finished a Sprite Slushie

Difference is Añejo is aged 3 years, Extra Añejo is aged 6 years.

I actually originally ordered Añejo and paid for Añejo and they sent me Extra Añejo. i was like saweeeeeeet!!!!!!! So I got the good stuff for cheaper... still have some too and I bought it like 6+ months ago.

go for some Angel tequila Just shop online for it, there are a few places that sell it online and ship it. comes wrapped in like a million layers of bubble wrap but its really good stuff.

I found out about it when the makers of it went on the Tom Leykis show and introduced it. Learned a lot from those guys about tequila in general and the differences between blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo. Also the fact that most all hard alcohols will not age in a bottle. they will only age in containers like a wood barrel.

another way to tell if you are going to like a high end tequila is to try their blanco. blanco is straight from the still and unaged. If their blanco is good, then their reposado and añejo should also be good. but if their blanco is crap, its not going to get any better with age...

blanco will always be the cheapest, and that said: from what I hear: Angel has some excellent blanco. From the extra añejo I have, I have a strong feeling that is true cause that stuff is delicious!

here is a color comparison between hornitos reposado and angel extra añejo

and the extra añejo by itself.

The next time I hit up the liquor store, I will snap pics of the tequila in stock. There were so many options I couldn't even begin to describe them. I do remember some Blanco style for under $25/bottle. There were also some gold and blue agave style as well. I don't think they had Sammy Hagar's (former brand) Mas Tequila, which I understand to have been one of the more superior brands.

My experience with tequila stems from my Navy days, when we'd tie one on before heading out on deployment. A buddy of mine would order up a couple of double shots when I wasn't looking and then I'd have to down it I just remember salt, shot, bite the lime. Yeeesh.

The best part about getting hammered before setting sail is that we'd feel so miserable the day we left port that the only thing we cared about was hitting the rack. By day #2 we felt great and were ready for business; whereas normally, we'd be feeling mopey & homesick the first few days out.

Take a look here.... http://www.tequila.net/

WHen I lived in Albuquerque, they had an annual Tequila tasting event at the La Posada Hotel in old town. Yep, got a room each time!

1800 is good for mising, but there are some Tequilas that are TOO GOOD to water down with a mix. Real sipping Tequila. This I learned in Albq.
