That's for sure!

How's that?

Started the John Deere 2640 NA 4cyl diesel. Took me over 1/2 hour to start. I'm certain the injector pump is going out on it. One cylinder was missing when I gave it starting fluid and when idling it is missing ever so slightly on one cylinder. Darned.

Wife came home all worried, said the truck had gotten hot, said the needle went a little past the middle line, obviously the dash gauge isn't the most accurate but even the half mark is warmer than normal for my truck.

Also said it felt like the truck was jerking. (keep it clean boys)

Took it for a ride, didn't get warm, even to the half mark, even with the heat off. Did record some video of my shifting issue. I'll probably post it up so I can get some ideas.

That's how it goes LOL. My sister complained about the van not shifting into gear... LOL it never happened to me until weeks later!

sure its not a stuck injector? air in the line?

getting good fuel pressure to the injection pump?

injector could also be suffering from too low of a pop pressure and might need a rebuild..
