Well guys I've been absent again LOL... Oh well I've been BUSY!!!! Borrowed a friend's OTC Scan tool so we will see how it does. Does Chrysler, Ford, and GM OBD1 and Generic OBD2 and GM OBD2, so covers pretty well .

Gonna have to pull the valve covers and check the rockers to make sure they are tight, but if they are all tight then I'm gonna have to pull the engine out of the Dodge and put new bearings and lifters. Also going to put a new cam and timing chain, as well as pistons and rings if I pull the engine. So we shall see.

Going to get my eyedrops

You should be in Charlotte May 4th and 5th. Deftones will be at Carolina Rebellion. My sister is stoked, she loves Deftones

Amazing.

Well plugged the OTC into the Dodge today. IAT sensor is reporting intake air temp as 100*F., so that's causing problems. Looked closer and the PCM is setting timing to 20*ATDC. Dodge dealer said no more than 15* is safe, but 20* atdc as idle is insane. Pulled up the PCM Module Information section on the tool, and it reports it as a California calibration. So there's my problem. Now off to get a RIGHT PCM. Note: That's only to fix the rich running problem.

Gonna pull valve covers today and check the rockers, that will determine exactly what goes on with the Dodge.

It's a BEAUTIFUL day too! Nothing like good weather for diagnostics

****tin' *** cold day here, windy too. Surprised we didn't get blown away last night the way the wind was going.

Snowed most of the day yesterday, nothing stuck, but it still snowed almost all day.

including 17" touch screen in the dash built in internet radio with downloadable apps! its basically a giant smart phone built into the dash.

its a Tesla Model S for you rich bastards interested...

Do you really think someone who is paying $55k-$80k for a vehicle gives a damn about gas mileage? Probably not unless they are one of those super green vegan liberal types, who already own a Prius, because if they can afford an $80k vehicle, keeping the gas tank full is like pocket change to them.

"I would love to buy this $75,000 Escalade, but I don't think I could afford the $4,000 in estimated fuel costs per year." Said no one.... ever.
