Not exactly true.

An old school teacher of mine, Ed Goodson, also a former pro baseball player, was all set to buy a brand new huge Toyota Tacoma pickup but didn't. Why? Rising gas prices.

That just shows he is financially responsible, not that he can't afford it. He probably has no use for a truck in any event.... he pays other folks to do that kind of thing.

HUGE Tacoma? Is he a midget? And around 20mpg - that's pretty good for a truck! I get 19mpg on mine with over 280,000 on it!

My bad, a Tundra, not a Tacoma.

And this was back in 2004.

And no, he's bout 6' 3"
