lmao
So weird unless an person knows where you worked.
I think the problem if we raised it, would be the fact that business would have to compensate to stay open. And they would have to raise prices. Cost has to go somewhere, and that somewhere is the consumer, unfortunately.

And inflation is to low. Checked to see what the interest rate is on your savings account? That's why. Inflation is artificially controlled by the Federal Reserve and not a reflection on anything in the real world.

I think corporations could handle wage increases.
But small businesses like what my dad owns, would die quickly.
Especially since he doesn't have a regular job and what little we have comes from the business. If it wasn't for me, the business would have been dead about 5 years ago believe it or not. (I don't get paid)

You as a private CEO raised wage minimum thresholds. You saw growth and improvement. Good for your company.
The government raises minimum wage. We see a generation that expects more and more money for the same or less work. Not good for work ethic of the general public.

I am glad I do not have such a negative and judgmental perspective.

Even at my old age, I believe that most people are deserving and appreciative and "more" money would be long overdue for being underpaid for many years. Nothing about less work. If people are not earning their keep, the answer is to fire them! But the dignity of fair pay for fair day's work is about economic justice and fairness. (and I have fired more people than I can count, even union workers.)
