I haven't had the battery ever get close to low so I don't know if there's any stupid electrical shutdowns.. Haven't heard of any though
Yep.

Electrical shutdowns? Yeah.
Everything gets dim then dies.

that is why i like my 81 so much. i drove it at least 20km and started at least 3 times before i realized the alternator wire had somehow snuck out of the battery clamp and didn't want to start a 4th time. i ended up just getting a boost from my friends booster pack and drove the beast home with no issues.

maybe if you have a little tinker toy engine....

you're not going to be standing in any engine bays with the cummins or v10...

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Just remember, V8's were first in power.

And I find the little gay smiley humorous.

Gas went up 9 cents a liter last week, and went up another 7 cents today (long weekend gouge) to $1.41 a liter for reg, premium is over a $1.65 a liter. It is now time for me to start looking at installing the propane parts I have here for the Ram, I have 90% of the needed parts just need to find a used propane tank for the box.

In case anyone is interested:
2194 mi, 120.4 gal of fuel, $400 spent

18.22 mpg average.
Not bad for an 11 year old Ram.

running on propane isn't going to save you any money...

less energy in the fuel so it requires more propane to make the same power as gasoline...

better off converting to electric or steam!

that would be awesome! buncha steam engine trucks runnin around burning firewood or coal for the boiler lol.

Take off that turbo and lets see what your tinker toy has to say....

Excuse me, those turbo's.

Edit:

Stopped by the shop the grandfather's Caddy is at, apparently no one has an alternator in stock, they had to order one. Looking around $500 or so.. Ouch...
