I rode the bike in town the other day... It's stuck in 6th gear, but once you're in shape you can take off and gain speed really fast! I was sure plumb tuckered out though after riding like that.

My bike doesn't even have first. Never bothered be since I never used it anyway.

Is it not shifting at all?

lol they are for people that actually wanna get somewhere and not take all day long to do it...

besides: those two bikes I posted will go places your pedal bike couldn't dream of going...

example one of the mountain trails I ride on... there is a spot on the trail a pedal bike would never get through without you carrying it... and your feet are going to get covered in mud up to your shins trying to carry it...

offroad motor bike...no problem. light throttle and it will mow right through the mud throwing a rooster tail of mud chunks behind it.

then there are a few steep hill climbs with that are very rocky.

and a couple hills we just go up for fun that are ridiculously steep.. the kind of steep that even we can have trouble getting up them if we don't get a short run at it with the power screwed on and held on till we hit the top...if we F-up you just gotta ditch the bike and watch the bike tumble down the hill and you slide down the hill cause there is no walking up or down it lol

kinda wish I had a GoPro to record my trail rides... and how fast we actually go through some of it...we hit some sections where we are doing 85-95mph (that's 136-153kph for you wolfie) on the logging roads and drift into the corners around 40-70mph depending on how tight the turn is...

Shifter is tight and needs new lever and grease or whatever. If I manage to get it into a lower gear every time I put so much pressure on the pedal it slips into 6th again.

If it's slipping back into 6th try taking the cable out and see if it actually moves with the shifter.

Ouch.

I love you too, stewie.

Took the Ram to the shop, rode the mtn bike back. Nice, long down hill section of side walk let me do 30mph down the entire thing.
