my dash has been cracking in every direction like an egg for about 2-3 years. now in the last 3 months the bezel has started cracking on the top in a couple of places. damn dodge.
For the 94-97 dashes, Ebay has em for under 2 bills before shipping.
Also, I had this link saved. It's the Mopar part, cheapest I could find. The new ones are made with ABS plastic (the kind that won't crack). http://www.factorymoparparts.com/5ey72rc8.html

My non-garaged Arizona 98 Ram doesn't have any of the 3 problems you mentioned. Of course I put a dash cover on the dash within a week of when I bought it. But my paint is fine and I wash it about once a month at a brush and roller type car wash and get the "ultimate" wash with wax and UV polish. Steering has been good, too. I guess they are common problems, but after reading here and at the CTD forum, more people say they don't have those problems than those who do.
Well, down here in LA we have this thing called humidity...
Yeah, that could be the difference. That dash is ridiculous. It would make me want to find the engineer who designed the material and kick them in the *****.
Maybe, but i'm not really too bitter about it. I picked the truck up in trade for a $750 jeep, so I was expecting a project. (and project it has been, let me tell you!)
