I thought that the 53 block was the early 2nd gen CTD's. The early ctd's are all 12v's? I think after 99 they started using the 24v's.
The 24 valve Cummins went into production mid year 1998 (They call them 1998.5s). 12 valve was 1994-1998
I think the 53 block was most commonly found on 1998.5-2002 24 Valve trucks. I have read some articles where some late 1997 and early 1998 12 valve Cummins engines that had the 53 block.
nice truck...my next is a CTD megacab...but i have a few years before that.....and i want to see some mud videos lol. Those tires will make it, because #1 itsays Cummins on it, and #2 i had street tires before the ones i just got and i still went mudding, and still able to make it through, so if i can mud you DEFINATLY can since its a Cummins
