Why lifted trucks can be useless.

I know it's a chevy not a dodge. if he had a locker in the front he'd be in good shape

well the does really mean lifted trucks are pointless.... if it wasn't lifted he still have the same troubles..... so you insult to why a lifted truck is useless is not a very strong point

I think even if it wasn't lifted if he had a front locker he'd drive over it like it was a speed bump.

I also think if I had a locked rear end and enough traction to climb up it I could climb it with my 2wd.

I'm not saying lifted trucks are useless, just that they can be. Lowered can be, stock ride height can be.

It all depends on the application.

Guess that means high lifts and huge tires are for guys who are um, undersized?

He didn't need a locker. A locker would just make the front end move sideways. It's actually worse in snow relative to dirt. Traction is still the problem.

He just needed to be smart about those poor tires on ice. The pile has noticeably been there for some time since the pavement around was all melted away. He got down to the hard packed ice, diff and driveline getting hung up. Just simply shoveling some of that loose stuff in the bed would have done it. Actually simplest would have been to air down.

Additionally, it has IFS. I can't speak to how it performs and wonder if there is a 4Lo in those.

To assume a lift can tackle snow better is what will land ppl in a ditch or worse.

A good laugh the stewie01. To be clear, not at you, but the driver situation.
