Default I'm gonna have to bid my fair wells and following seas

tomorrow morning i am trading in my beast of a truck for a F250 diesel, the reason behind this as you are all probably scratching your head is that i couldn't find a cummins to trade with, or atleast one that was in descent shape. back to the "why", i haul travel trailers cross country and a V10 is not a good truck to do that with, once or twice a year yeah maybe but not every day, the next owner took care of his F250 and i know he'll take care of the Dodge probably better than i have treated her...lol. but i won't be gone forever i'm still gonna pop my head in here every now and then, but on a lighter note, i kept my SCT Tuner cause he is not going to need it nor wanted it so i have a tuner for my fellow V10's that need one, shoot me a pm, i've learned alot from being on here and just listening to the experience wrench turners in here and hopefully one day i'll be able to buy another 2nd gen. V10, sure did like them ponies.

uh no, not a 4x4 which i will miss, but right now i am in that position where i can't be choosy, have to take what i can get, but anythings going to be better than 4 to 9 mpg. there are guys i work with that buy new trucks very other year, so knowing that i see a new Ram in my future but that will be a couple of years, have to get out of this house before the bank throws us out, don't get me wrong i had no intention of trading in my beast but fuel economy is killing me, but like i said before i will own another V10 just not right now. SRT10 sounds even better but that's off in the far distant future. Until then it is what it is.

Damn son. Sad news, you were a big help in here. Heck with you and South Florida gone I'm afraid the V10 lost 10% of it's representation on here. PM headed your way.

sorry to see you go. i don't blame you though - i couldn't afford 4-9mpg either.

what mpg will the ford get? i saw a nice 2000 model like that over the weekend. it was lifted some, looked good, pulled strong, but i heard it didn't get very good mpg.

Our 2004 6.0 PSD gets around 14.6 when towing and around 18.4 unloaded. That's a dually with 4.10 gearing mind you. His 7.3 ought to do better than ours does actually.
