Today, I was pulling my boat home from Clinton Lake, in Central Illinois. After the red light changed to green, an I was rolling around 25mph, my friend told me to just mash the gas, I had the Over Drive off, and just hammered it. an Both tires smoking like crazy. I might have just been an exaggeration but, it roasted em like up to 40 feet. It is a 1996 Dodge 1500 Laramie SLT 4x2, with no upgrades, except for newer leaf springs an shocks in the rear, and a Spectre cold air intake, thats all that has been done to the truck.

Tell me some of your burnout stories, or other things about your 2nd gen. I love mine, and will never get rid of it. Maybe one day I can pass my ram down to my son

 

eh powerful no very torquey YES. I just bought mine yesterday and I have to say I was a little dissapointed in the get up of the truck. But hey it wasn't built for speed.

turn off over drive an just mash on it, u can smoke em.
or brake stand, or just hold the brake an press on the gas a little bit till the rpms rise with out wheel spin an then just launch on it, it will smoke em as well, but yeah im quite surprised it did it aswell.

 

Idk, maybe because urs is a 5.2, an mine is a 5.9? But hey is does ur truck have a leveling kit on it? or did u just raise ur torsion bars

ya i got the 5.2 50mm tb, 14x3 air clean , 3.92 gear , no cat, when i had the e-fan on or the under drive pullys still couldnt chrip the tires, cant bear them with a brake stand no more, i think its the tires no soft,, hell i dont know

 

yeah, mine will break stand no prob, just mash the break an barely push down the gas an they will spin. but dam that is cheap for a leveling kit! $40 wow im shocked. I was gonna get a tough country leveling kit for my 4x2. But hell your truck looks good! We have the same color (: haha an mine is the Laramie SLT.

ya mine is a Laramie SLT with all power windows, locks, seat, mirror , infin stero..ect they sure added sum nice things on these truck back in the day

 

Hell yeah, Mine has power windows, locks, AM/FM Radio with Cassette, 40/20/40 split seats, and a bench seat in the back, moon roof, rear slide glass, rear passenger windows pop out like the back of a mini vans glass do on the passenger sides. Cruise control, oh and a carpet that i need to clean that smells like coon or cat ****. I just got my truck 2 days ago as a late 16th birthday present! LMAO shows how much my father loves me eh? haha. just kiddin my dad is the best.
