Default 98 dodge ram 2500 5.9l motor swap

Hey guys i was wondering if someone could help me out!, i swapped a motor in my 98 dodge ram 2500, however the motor came out of a 96 its the 5.9l magnum. I know the motor runs as i heard it run before i pulled it out of the 96 truck. When i installed it, it wont fire up, i have spark i have fuel, actually to much fuel, every time i pull out the plugs they are drenched in fuel, ive replaced, cam sensor, crank sensor, coil, dist. cap/rotor. plugs wires, fuel pump. any ideas? is there any real differences in the 96 to 98 motors?

Did you bring the wire harness over to it from the '96 truck? I don't think a 96 engine will work with the 98 harness.

No i didnt, i swapped all the 98 sensors, to the 96 engine, i actually managed to get it running however i need to keep my foot on the accelerator, dies out at about 1500-2000rpm, i think i might have a cam/crank sync problem, however i did not touch the dist, only replaced cap and rotor, and no dummy light is comming on, no codes, runs good at high rpm, but dies out on idle. did some reaserch and noticed 93-95 injectors were higher numbers due to the obd1, but this is the obd2 so i don't think injectors would be an issue. how can i check if my cam/crank sensors are in sync?
