I use Shell V power 93 octane, and Mobile 93 octane.
Great stuff man, but I am trying to get me a SCT tuner soon!

So what is your overall feelings on the SCT lastrights? Me and Austin are talking about putting one in his 98 SS/T. What does your hip dyno say? Custom tuned right?

from coming off the superchips 91 tune for 8 months, and plugged in the sct .. its a world of diffrence just with the 87 tune, i didnt even try the 93 yet because my tank is still half full ,letting 87 run out.. i cant even wait to try it . but the truck doesnt even feel like a 6000 pound truck anymore.

the 1st time i was in 2nd gear and i floored it went back into 1st and actaully pushed me back and took off like a bat outta hell. torque management makes a huge diffrence having it off. and its eayier on the tranny too.

like WOT shifts at 5100,instead of stock going into second at 2600 rps,sct it drops down to like 3500 and keeps the power its awesome .. i should be filling up with 93 tommorrow so ill let you know, thats sopposed to be the real power ! !

also power when stock usally starts at 2100 rpms, sct it starts at like 1800

i paid 275 for it for can tune, i would pay 400 its worth evrey cent

this guy did a dyno with the sct and its only the v6 ,3rd gen so you can imagine what it would do for the v8 with some bolt ons https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ck-vs-jet.html

I had to use 93 for my 91 tune. No pinging now. I only use sunoco, and valero. Lots of Valero in my area dont have ethenol in them. The lack of ethenol made a big differance.

I've only used the 91 tune, since the highest octane gas here is 91. I asked hemifever about using the 93 tune and he said it might work with 91 octane, with octane booster, and a 180 stat. I plan on trying that soon. So far though, it improved so much!

Nope. At least not in Phoenix. I know I'm missing out big time. I want to load up that 93 tune so bad.

well i loaded up with 93 today and set it to 93, it pinged,so i set it to 91 and it running awesome !

ill prob do a couple tanks of 93 before i try the 93 tune again . but the sct is by far the best mod. i can see how MPGs get better because when your not on the gas it just chills at 1800 rpms instead of 2100, and it still goes .

so even paying for 93 gas 5-10 bucks more a tank its def worth it, makes it a fun truck too drive
