Yes real functional hood pins!

Sheriff...I think what you are saying makes sense...but it is weird that with low coolant in the system it is not overheating? Running very cool around 135-140 at operating temp...

What temp thermostat do you have in there? I suspect that the PO stuck a 160 degree sensor in there.

I suspect that you are most likely correct. But I am not pulling apart the upper rad hose and alternator just to find out...

So does anyone have ideas or suggestions about the DTC's posted above?

Thanks Blair! Yeah I only received one of your PM's. The Indy DTC's. As posted below....

"1st code, could have a 160 deg thermostat, need a 180stat.
2nd one, not sure, possibly saying the cam sensor in the dist is causing an issue.
3rd one possible short/cut wire in o2 sensor in the cat (does it even have a cat or sim?)
The high idle could be caused by some of these codes &/or the tps is bad."

Also how can you tell what degree stat you have? When I changed to a 180 stat in Betty, I didn't notice any specific markings on it....not that I was looking at the time. It is stamped into the ring or something? Screw it...I'm just gonna pop in a new 180 today....

Also did anyone have thoughts about the speedo being way off? Possibly a bad VSS or something?

Also the truck was running good no DTC's idling fine on Sept 2 when I first looked at it. The PO has not worked on it at all since I originally scoped it out. Like the problem started on its own...just thought I would add some xtra info

the temp rating should be stamped on the housing of the thermostat slick
