Default looking at another truck

Yeah im looking at a 1994 ram 1500 with the 360 and auto. its 2wd and a reg cab short bed. he is wanting 1450 for it. the tranny is slipping he says and its got like 163k on it. doesn't look like it has any rust. i was wanting to make a sport truck out of it. slap a rebuilt tranny in there and alittle motor work. straight pipe it cause its pre 96 lower it and put like 4.56 gears in it and that sum bitch would fly compared to my 99. what do yall think? decent idea?

Well yes that is a decent price if you just happen to have a good spare tranny in the garage. But yeah I agree, I tend to stay away from pre-96 Rams

What ya need a spare truck for?

Well if you do end up gettin it, B&G will make you a tune, the only thing is you have to send the pcm off and have it flashed and its quite a bit more than SCT, IIRC B&G charges around 450-500 but I could be wrong, so its not like you have no options and if you got the money why not

Unless you get a 3/4 ton truck you have to do emissions. Even though its an older truck. You may just have a harder time doing emissions cause its a 94 and most places have to be 96 and newer. Just a thought

the d44 would be the same. the tranny tcase may work. do you have a 46re or RH, i think 97 was when they went to the RE. it would really just be easier to take your body and put it on a 4x4 frame...
