cherry bomb extreme or vortex?
You would think that would be the case but it's not. The Vortex has a higher CFM rating than the Extreme, by a good bit. A little straighter pass through I think, the single wing plate in the Extreme must re-direct air more than one would think. (although compared to most mufflers, the CFM is still very good on the Extreme).
However, I have the Extreme (with CAI and longtubes) and love the sound. The Vortex also sounds awesome, not quite as loud (but still loud) and a bit of a different pitch, but nice as well...

It's still quieter than my nieghbors Mustang, which probably has flowmasters and dumps out before the rear axle.

but thanks i think i'll go with the extreme single in/out- its only 50 bucks--- and if i dont like it i'll probably go for the vortex duals.

I have a cherry bomb extreme single in dual out on my ram. I ran it straight pipe for a week before i put it on. There wasnt really that much difference in loudness between no muffler and the extreme but you could tell. It is still VERY loud and i always turn heads. Only prob right now is that my cat is clogged right now so once i get a new one ill be in business. Def cherry bomb extreme!
