Default cherry bomb extreme or vortex?

hey guys this is my first using this so i hope it works out. i have a 2001 dodge ram 2500 5.9 liter gas. i was looking to buy new exhaust for it. I was looking at the cherry bomb vortex dual exhaust cat back system and it seemed nice. but idk if its loud enough for me. i want a loud, aggressive sound, but not to annoying. one that will really turn heads. will the vortex do that for me? the other one i was looking at was the cherry bomb extreme. i dont know if i would get the single in/single out or single in/dual out. so which would you guys recommend?

cherry bmb extreme is a single chamber muffler so it will have less restrictiion and will be louder

i have the extreme and also have longtubes and cat, so it wont be as loud as mine but it turns heads fior sure ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrw1X...eature=related

If that sound was what I think it was, you might want to use a lighter keychain. A heavy keychain swinging around as you drive will wear the ignition switch rapidly.

Other than that, that's a nice sounding truck. Louder than I'd want for myself, but it surely does sound nice.

The Vortex uses fiberglass packing on the inside, and after a while it starts to get a bit more bark to it.
I still don't know if that would be "loud" enough for you, and I've quieted my system down a bit with some resonator tips.
Actually...I don't think I quieted it own, but I shaved off some of the high end and made it deeper.
This is my second Vortex and when it goes, I'll buy another.

If you want to be loud, run like us real country boys do.
No Cats, No Muffler, and Duals.
Only way to be loud.
If you want more, get some headers...

+1 for the extreme as it is very small in size and no fiberglass so the db level should be nice.

You would think that would be the case but it's not. The Vortex has a higher CFM rating than the Extreme, by a good bit. A little straighter pass through I think, the single wing plate in the Extreme must re-direct air more than one would think. (although compared to most mufflers, the CFM is still very good on the Extreme).

However, I have the Extreme (with CAI and longtubes) and love the sound. The Vortex also sounds awesome, not quite as loud (but still loud) and a bit of a different pitch, but nice as well...
