Hi all. Need to change front drivers door on a 2000 Quad Cab short box. Does anyone know if any other years are the same door ('99 or '01) or am I stuck with a 2000 only replacement? Latch mechanism failed and door jamb where latch mounts got hammered out really bad. Bought it for my kid and we are fixing it up together.

Looking at the LMC truck catalog... they show the same door from 94 to 02...... So, seems like any 2nd gen door will fit.

 

No, Quad Cab doors are specific to Quad Cabs. Any Quad Cab door will fit 98-01.

 

Thats what I was thinking. I have a '95 outside and it's different. Any idea if the door is identical? Seems like the shape of the door in the jamb where the latch mounts changes slightly over the years and if the compatible years are truly identical then i could merely crimp and weld a cutout from another door from a wrecker.
