Default Genos cup holders

I know there are already a bunch of posts about these, but I finally got mine last week, and I really love/recommend it! Easy install, looks great, and solves the crappy cup holder design of these trucks. My only complaint is that I am tall (6'4") and now my knee rests against it while I drive. Not a big problem at all, and well worth it! For anyone who hasnt ordered one yet, do it!

haha, yeah I bought one of those three weeks ago...it just sits in the backseat cuz I'm too lazy to install it...

glad you like it!

On the catch bolt for the center console...did you just adjust out about a 1/4 inch to make it fit? What tool did you use to adjust to make it fit? THX

Yeah it was easy, just grabbed the bolt with a pair of pliers and turned the bolt until it latched.

I think I may paint it black first b4 I put it in...not really a good protective finish on it...also did you use the adhesive strips or screws to secure it?

Mine came black from genos. I used the adhesive strip that they sent to attach it, but it really doesn't hold it well. As long as the center console is closed it really cant go anywhere, but I plan on sinking some screws in there to secure it anyway.

I was afraid you were going to say that about the adhesive strips.....I really don't wanna put screws in it so when i need to have it removed there are not screwholes....gonna have to figure out some thing else i suppose...

Can you take a picture showing the gap? I read the console won't close all the way because of the added cupholder and I just want to see how big the gap is. Things like that bother me but if its not too bad I may consider it.

I think if you hit the hardware store and get a couple more adhesive/velcro strips it will hold nice and strong. They only give you one in the box, and probably 3-4 would do the trick just fine.

BigRedOne- there is no gap and the console will close as normal if you just take a pair of pliers and adjust the latch pin. Takes 2 minutes.

How is that possible? By adding a piece of plastic in between the console and the lid some gap HAS to be introduced.

I just went outside and took a pic, lets see if I can get the photobucket link to work. I guess there is a small gap, but its not really noticable.
