I'm sure the mods would allow someone to do TOTM...if rules were posted and followed.

Even though TOTM was moved to the GD section, I posted stickies in the Tech section asking people to go vote. It did not help. When I declared it dead, I couldn't even get a full roster of nominees, let alone voters.

Its not so much that people are leaving for other forums, its the fact that some people drop off the face of the Earth, and that many members trade in their 2nd gens for 3rd or 4th gens, or end up with a different vehicle altogether.

 

I've also noticed this, it's just not what it used to be.

 

I agree on trying to bring it back. More of a reason to show off these nice trucks!

 

By all means fire it back up. It can only be for your section though.

Like Jason said, it fizzled out. It was doing pretty good when I had it, but that was back and June and I had a couple of trips I went on resulting in Jason taking it over. A fine job he did with it too.

I suggest that if you guys really want to start this back up again, then post your ideas here.

By the way, if you have a comment about the site like the lay out of the forum, please feel free to PM myself or Jason and we will make sure that the complaint or compliment makes its way to the proper and duly paid forum employee.

 

Why is it all good things come to an end. Unfortunately in the internet world that seems to happen very fast. I am very very new to this place I like it alot though. Trading my 98 durango or my 99 ram is out of the question. So I will be coming around all the time. I live in an area that is full of pickups but no real lovers of their trucks. This area I live in is hard to communicate with motorheads of the pickup genre so here I am. The information I have gained just since I started checking out threads has saved my little pea brain countless times. Having little things like truck of the month competitions and such does create a feeling of participation. My old dodge wouldnt win but she sure would try, she has yet to let me down lol

 

i can think of 15 active members right now excluding me that are on everyday.....so for TOTM, we could have only 3 Nomoniees....first 3 to accept go on for voting......instead of having 4-5 for voting....and IMO, if you are in the running for TOTM for december (out of the 3 people) then you cant be nominated for the next month (january)....but then eligable again for february.......just so everybody has a chance....


Just my .02 cents if you guys can understand what i mean lol
