^ they can bottom out and drag in extreme conditions.
i don't know how good their black powder coated ones are, but if you decide to go with chrome - consider Nasta stainless step bars, all stainless and will never rust. mine are 4 years old and look like brand new. all the chrome plated ones will rust.

My black Smittybuilt nerf bars started to rust in less than a year. I'm not too happy about that.

here's at least one place that will do a black powder coat over stainless steel. that'll solve the rust problem. now - if they'll guarantee the powder coat to stick...
